In 1806, Hrodebert Kasparov Grau created “Verlorene Seele” (The Lost Souls) based on the infamous 1711 carnival disaster. Reprinted under the title “CarnEvil of Souls” the book became known as the fable that originated the children’s song “Row Row Row Your Boat.” And now the forgotten classic has been restored for generations to come.
